INFORMATION SESSION: FINANCIAL AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR FIRE DEPARTMENTS
The Connecticut Volunteer Workforce Solutions (VWS) program has been awarded a FEMA SAFER grant for PHASE III of the Everyday Hero CT volunteer firefighter recruitment program.
VWS and the Connecticut Fire Chiefs Association (CFCA) are looking for volunteer and combination fire departments to participate in Phase III, which will be delivered over three years in the form of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) physicals, conference scholarships, and much more. Firefighters throughout Connecticut are invited to learn more about how their departments can benefit from these opportunities by attending one of two information sessions at Branford Fire Department (45 North Main Street, Branford, CT 06405) on either Friday, March 24, or Saturday, March 25, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. A continental breakfast will be provided.
