Meet the Team
THE POWER BEHIND WARDCOMM
Exceptionally well-written ... scrupulously detail-oriented ... master task-juggler ... basks in the glow of a pressure cooker just for fun. These fundamental, yet frequently underestimated, characteristics allow Laura Ward to enjoy success and recognition as an accomplished public relations professional. And, they frame the persona that defines and distinguishes her company, WardComm Public Relations, LLC. [more ...]
Ty joined the WardComm Public Relations team in November 2011 when Laura and her family adopted him from a local rescue organization. He was six years old and had been surrendered by his owners who could no longer care for him following a death in their family. Ty grabbed hold of our hearts and rescued Gibby (2001-2013) from the sadness of having lost his lifelong pal, Porter, earlier that year. As luck would have it, Ty and Gibby were blood relatives and quickly became best friends. Having never missed a day in the office, Ty wags his tail wildly in celebration of our successes and offers super snuggles to soothe the agony of defeat (which from time to time happens to even the best PR pros).
these people know us
Ann Nybergnews anchor, WTNH News 8
Laura Phillips Ward is a public relations dream for any business. She can size up a situation and see what is needed immediately. She is polite and on message and on time and thorough, these are attributes tough to find these days, I would never hesitate to call her.
Elena Verleefounder & president, cross border communications
Working with Laura was a real pleasure. She was always one step ahead of the client’s needs, created many new media relationships for the client and was thoughtful and strategic at every turn. What really stood out however was her passion and work ethic – she truly cares for the client’s well being and would often go above and beyond their requirements.
Marcia LaReau, Ph.D.founder, president & career strategist, forward motion careers
Laura is one of the most even-keeled people I’ve ever worked with. She can keep her focus on the matter at hand regardless of the situation. She has the ability to keep with the project until it is understood and see through the issues to find viable solutions.
Laura invests personally in her clients. Her commitment is to see their business grow and she goes to great lengths to continue to connect, find ways to be helpful, and bring excellence to the situation.
